IBPS Clerk 2014 Exam Cut off, Scorecard details

IBPS Clerk 2014 Exam is scheduled to be held in the month of December 2014 on multiple days. The IBPS will conduct the  Common Written Examination (CWE) through Online mode for recruitment of eligible personnel to Clerical Cadre Posts in the Participating Organizations. This below write-up is focused on providing the insightful information to the candidates regarding the IBPS Clerk 2014 Cut-Off.

IBPS Clerk 2014 Cut off is referred to the minimum qualifying marks which is essential to be achieved by the candidates in order to get shortlisted for the further selection round . The shortlisted candidates will be called to attend the Interview round subsequently.  IBPS will release cut-off and marks of the candidates on its official website after the announcement of result expected in January 2015.

IBPS Clerk 2014 Cut off is applied through-out, which implies that there is sectional cut-offs in the IBPS Clerk 2014 Exam. Candidates should ensure that they perform well enough in the exam so as to qualify the sectional cut-offs for all the five sections - Reasoning, English Language, Numerical Ability, Computer Knowledge and General Awareness. Maximum marks for each section is 40 so, the cut-offs will be calculated out of the maximum marks, only. In addition to that, you must also know that there will be minimum total cut-off score known as Total Weighted Standard Score (TWSS Score), which should be achieved by the candidates alongwith the sectional cut-offs.

Time-management is very important for qualifying in the exam. Candidates are advised to allocate time evenly for all the sections so that they don’t miss questions in a particular section. Low- performance in  any one of the section may mar your chances of qualifying the exam.

The cut-offs is calculated keeping in account certain factors like the number of vacancies, number of candidates, the difficulty level of the examination, the performance of the candidates etc. So, the cut-off is a collective outcome of all candidate’s performance. Performance of any one candidate can never make any difference to the cutoff list.
It is also important to note that the cut-off remain same for all the States/ Union Territories. The only criteria that can effect the cutoff list is the performance on the candidates and number of candidates appeared.

IBPS Clerk 2014 Cut off will be different for the reserved categories- such as SC, ST, OBC, UR, OC, VI, and HI.

It is to be noted that the cut off marks for SC, ST, OBC category candidates is usually comparatively lower as compared to that for General Category.
