The Union Public Service Commission conducts the IES Exam for recruitment of competitive engineers to manage various sectors of the Public Sector economy under the Government of India. Candidates desirous of appearing for the qualifying exam for the Indian Engineering Services, should fill out online application forms. The application forms will be issued on 14 March 2015 through the official website of UPSC. Filling out the IES 2015 Application Form is an essential pre-requisite and candidates will be allowed to appear for the IES 2015 Exam only on completing registration.Online registration should be completed by 10 April 2015. First time applicants are provided with the procedural steps to fill in the IES 2015 Application Form.
IES 2015 Application Form Filling Procedure:
- In order to access the online application window for IES 2015, candidates have to open the authorized website for UPSC. As the UPSC does not make any provision for the issue of printed application forms, the online mode will be the only available mode for applicants to fill up the IES 2015 online application Form.
- Once applicants are on the official web page of UPSC, they can locate the requisite link for online applications on the left hand side of the homepage.
- Click on the relevant tab to be directed to the registration page.
- Applicants can then fill up all the entries in the online application form.
- The form will require candidates to furnish details such as their age, gender, nationality, date of birth and details of their academic records. Scanned copies of the candidate's signature and passport size photograph will also have to be uploaded.
- Applicants should not leave any of the fields blank, as incomplete or inappropriately filled in IES 2015 Application Forms will not be accepted.
- After the form has been filled in, candidates will have to select the mode of payment through which they wish to make payment of the application fee. The requisite fee can be paid through online or offline modes.
- UPSC has prescribed a fee of Rs.200 for candidates from General and OBC categories, while SC/ST and women applicants are exempted from payment of the application fee.
- A unique registration ID and password will be assigned to each applicant, on successful completion of registration for the exam.
