Eligibility Criteria of IBPS RRB 2015

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS)
will conduct the Common Written Test (CWE) for recruitment on various posts in affiliated Regional Rural Banks (RRBs). Before filling the application form and registering for the exam, candidates must read the IBPS RRB 2015 Eligibility Criteria to check if they are valid to take the examination or not. Following article comprises of complete information on eligibility for scale 1, 2 and 3 posts in RRBs. One must fill the application form only after ensuring that he meets all the terms and conditions otherwise his application form will be rejected in the screening process.

Nationality

Candidate must be a citizen of India OR Nepal OR Bhutan OR a Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before 1 January 1962 to permanently settle in India OR a person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam to permanently settle in India. The candidates who are not an Indian citizen need to possess appropriate certificate issued by the Government of India.

Educational Qualification

Eligibility Criteria of IBPS RRB 2015 defines different eligibility criteria for different posts.

Language Proficiency

  • Those candidates who are applying for Officer Scale 1 and Office Assistant (Multipurpose) must possess proficiency in the local language of the state/UT in which the RRB is situated.
  • This condition doesn’t apply to Officer Scale 2 and 3.
  • To ensure that a candidate possess language skills, he must have:

o Local language at class X level
 OR
o Native language at class X level
OR
o Local language at any level up to graduation level
