Application Process for RBI Officer 2015 Recruitment likely to commence in June 2015

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will be conducting the RBI Officer 2015 examination for recruiting eligible candidates as officers in Grade “B” posts (General). All the candidates interested in applying for RBI Officer 2015 Recruitment will be required to get themselves registered online on the official RBI web portal. The online application procedure is likely to commence from 1st week of June 2015. The candidates before applying must ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility criteria as laid down by RBI, failing to which their application will be rejected at later stage (verification stage).

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate applying for RBI Officer 2015 must be an Indian citizen whose age must lie in between the bracket of 21 to 30 years, though relaxation in upper age will be permitted for certain reserved categories by RBI. Also, such candidate must possess a graduation or post graduation degree in any discipline with 60% & 55% aggregate marks respectively (or equivalent CGPA).

Date of the RBI Officer 2015 Recruitment examination

The phase 1 of the examination is likely to be held in the 1st week of August 2015 while the phase 2 examination will be held in September/October 2015.

Exam pattern and Selection Procedure

The examination will be held in both online and offline mode. It will be held in 2 phases and thereafter personal interviews will be conducted. In the phase 1, multiple choice questions will be asked from Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, Logical Reasoning and English. On the basis of the appearing candidates performance in this examination, a cutoff list will be prepared at this stage and the candidates who will score marks according to the cutoff list thus issued will be considered eligible for the phase 2 examination.

Thereafter phase 2 examination will be conducted. It will also have multiple choice questions based on English, Economic & Social Issues and Finance & Management. Again a cutoff list will be prepared at this stage and all the candidates who will clear this phase 2 examination will be called upon for personal interview held by RBI. For being eligible to be called for personal interview, candidates will be required to score more marks as listed in the cut off list issued at phase 2 stage.

After successful conduction of Personal Interviews by RBI, a final list of the candidates will be prepared upon the overall performance of the candidate at every stage of the selection procedure and such candidates will be further considered for RBI Officer 2015 Recruitment.
